Cosplay Sex Machine is like most adult releases in that it has a pair of basic stereo mixes encoded at 192kbps. The show has very little in terms of surprises here as it’s all about the meager
dialogue and the action sounds that occur between the dialogue sessions. All of that is well conveyed here with a straightforward mix that uses the forward soundstage to decent effect. It’s light on
actual placement and depth, but there’s no shortage of good sounds coming out of the speakers that fit the mood. We sampled both language tracks and had no problems with dropouts or distortions
during regular playback.

Originally released in 2009, the transfer for this series is presented in its original aspect ratio of 1.78:1 and is enhanced for anamorphic playback. Though not a high quality Vanilla animation, it
is a pretty good one that makes use of the added resolution rather nicely as colors have a good bit of pop to them and the layouts and designs aren’t the usual low quality ones. The transfer looks
quite good here with no visible cross coloration and only a few hints of line noise during the occasional panning sequence. Colors are solid and the show, mostly bathed in light blues and purples,
comes across as a very clean looking release.
