Genia Michaela Biography

Born to French-Canadian parents Cliff Gravel spent an adventurous childhood that included being run over by a car, getting shot, and being stabbed. Cliff moved out of that neighborhood. After high school he became intensely involved in Community Theater which led to studies at the Circle-In-The-Square Theater in New York City. Later Cliff's gypsy personality drifted him through several universities until he earned a B. S. in Science Education, and an M. A. in Film and Theater disguised as Humanities. His wanderlust brought experience as a chemical lab tech, sales rep, business management consultant, casino keyman, tax preparer and professional bowler. Ending up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Cliff made ends meet by working as mystery shopper, inventory counter, furniture assembler, phone entertainer, textbook editor, stress-reduction instructor, acting teacher, memory course demonstrator, and Radiation Data Analyst. Along the way he decided to try his hand at being an extra in the movies. He landed the role of The Priest in Revenge on the Highway (1992) (TV) because he was the only one who fit the costume. Since then, Cliff has appeared in over 300 plays, movies, TV episodes, TV commercials, radio ads, improv comedy shows, TV animations, audio novels, bible recordings, live action video games, melodramas, and interactive dinner mysteries. In between all of that somehow he found time to write. His award winning poems, articles, columns and short stories have been published in numerous magazines. Cliff is the author of several stage plays including Spy School Murders, Brigands of the Salty Dog, The Daughter of the Moon, and Character Assassination. Also, he is the co-author of two screenplays: Speaking For the Dead, and Love Your Local Ghost. Cliff wrote routines for several comedy groups. He won awards for public speaking on topics such as Team Screenwriting, Improv Acting, Polyamory, Romantic Communication, Suicide and Guilt, and Psycoscopy. Cliff's affiliations include: the New Mexico S. A. G. Council, the SouthWest Writers Board of Directors, the New Mexico Autism Society Board of Directors, International Speakers Association, Mensa Authors Special Interest Group, Playwrights On The Web, American Screenwriters Association, and Applied Theater Research For Autism Network. He is now working as a simulated patient and examination practice body for medical schools along with an occasional stint as a mock juror for law firms. And he sells old movie dvds on the internet. That's in between his screen acting gigs.
