
Osamah Sami is an Australian actor, born in Iran to Iraqi parents. Since settlement in Australia, he's gone on to work regularly in Theatre, Television and Film. As a young teen, he studied Arts at Kanoon Parvaresh Fekri - Iran's lead arts development institute. He then appeared in two Iranian Features before migrating to Australia in 1995. Osamah then finished his training at the Australian Film & Television Academy and has a long list of film and theatre credits next to his name, including lead roles in the award-magnet films 'Saved' (dir: Tony Ayres and starring Claudia Karvan) and 'Eliminated!' (dir: Dee McLachlan); a drama and the latter a comedy. Osamah is also a playwright and screenwriter - he has written a number of large stage shows (including a musical) as well as developing a TV series and several feature films. He holds a Masters in Writing from Swinburne University, a post-grad certificate in Literary classics and has studied English Literature through Oxford University's online program. Osamah also plays the Guitar, Oud (Lute) and Piano. He's also a talented sportsman, having won best goalkeeper award twice in a row in Melbourne's NortWest division and plays for a cricket club in the summer. Following his success as actor and story developer, he's a guest lecturer at various Melbourne acting academies.
