
Bo Zenga is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania where he attended the Wharton Business School and was the Chairman of the Finance Committee, which financed all activities for the University. He started out as a banker on Wall Street for what is now J.P. Morgan Chase. After moving to Los Angeles he studied filmmaking at the American Film Institute. He has been under contract with the major studios as a producer and as a screenwriter since 1996.Bo is a favorite of the 'A List' with such distinguished talent as Steven Spielberg, Tom Cruise, Nicolas Cage, Ron Howard, Will Smith, and John Travolta having been attached to his projects.Most recently he wrote the comedy Soul Plane for MGM, which he produced through his Los Angeles based production company, Boz Productions. The film stars Snoop Dogg, Mo'Nique, John Witherspoon and Tom Arnold and has Jessy Terrero directing. MGM released Soul Plane on Memorial Day weekend 2004 as their big summer movie. It is currently on the best selling DVD sales charts.He executive produced, in partnership with Brillstein-Grey and in association with Gold-Miller, the teen horror spoof Scary Movie for Dimension/Miramax. Keenan Wayans directed the film and it opened nationwide to a record 42.3 million dollars. It has grossed over 300 million dollars to date and spawned a franchise that has grossed over half a billion dollars to date.He executive produced the independent comedy Everything's Jake that stars Ernie Hudson. The film won the 'Burning Vision Special Jury Prize' at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival and the Grand Prize at the Atlantic City Film Festival.He also executive produced the independent drama feature film If Tomorrow Comes that stars Golden Globe winner James Franco. It was chosen for the New York Film Festival.He is also producing Succession, a film project he is developing based on a political thriller by Oliver Stone.In television, Bo executive produced and wrote the television pilot 'Sunday Night At The Movies' for 20th Century Fox Television.On the stage, Bo wrote, produced and directed Real Men At The ATM and co-wrote, co-produced and co-directed Original Material From Hell which also starred Billy Bob Thornton and from which the Academy Award winning film Sling Blade was derived.Bo was featured in the magazine Hollywood Life and has appeared in articles in The Hollywood Reporter, The Daily and Weekly Variety, Movieline, The New York Times, Vanity Fair, Entertainment Weekly, USA Today, Backstage West, Creative Screenwriting, MovieMaker Magazine, The Dallas Morning News and The Atlantic City Press. He has also repeatedly been listed as one of the '100 People You Need To Know In Hollywood' by Fade In: Magazine and was featured on the cover of Written By: The Journal of the Writers' Guild of America.
